Driven on Purpose

There are moments in your career when you find yourself in full alignment.

For me it happens every time I step on stage. I look out at a room full of people, (strangers, technically) but somehow, you feel like you know them.
And they know you.

Not your title. Not your bio.
But the real you, the one who’s been through things. The one who had to pivot. The one who got knocked down, realigned, and got back up on purpose.

That’s what happens every time when I deliver Driven on Purpose.

It’s the most personal thing I’ve ever written.

Why This Talk Feels Different

For years, I’ve spoken about leadership, branding, and purpose. I’ve facilitated workshops, coached founders, and guided companies toward alignment. But this talk? This one’s different.

Driven on Purpose wasn’t just crafted for others, it was crafted for me! To help me see the wins through the hard times and process my own story.

It’s a talk about:

  • Resilience when the path shifts unexpectedly
  • Energy, protecting it, fuelling it, and understanding what drains it
  • Optimism, not as a performance, but as a perspective
  • And most of all, purpose, especially when things feel hard

It’s about navigating leadership and life when you’re not sure what’s next. About needing to lead yourself before you can lead others.

The Power of Real Connection

What surprised me most the first time I delivered it was how many people saw themselves in my story.
They nodded during the hard parts. They laughed at the honest parts.
And afterwards, they told me things like:

“You gave language to what I’ve been feeling but didn’t know how to express.”
“That was the most human leadership talk I’ve ever heard.”
“You reminded me why I started in the first place.”

As someone who used to believe vulnerability and professionalism couldn’t co-exist,

We’re all more connected that you think. And We’re all craving something real especially in leadership.

What’s Next

Yes, even after all these years, I still get butterflies before I get on stage.
But before I do, I review the testimonials and the DMs, and remember the quiet thank-you’s and I feel inspired.

If you’re in a season of pivot, burnout, reinvention, or rediscovery I hope you’ll remember this.

You’re allowed to rewrite your story.
You’re allowed to lead from where you are.
And when you do it with purpose, it resonates deeper than you’ll ever expect.
